I see no reason why Teresa can't have a 70 to 100% chance of recovery --- Dr. Laura

Throughout life we venture down many avenues of emotional, spiritual, mental and physical growth. My path has led me to the city of Lima, Peru where I am receiving indigenous Mochican treatments and using an array of Amazonian plants to cure a full-bodied paralysis.
Four years ago, while snowboarding in California, I sustained a spinal cord injury at my fourth and fifth cervical vertebrae. Immediately, I lost the use of my body from the neck down and within the week, my ability to breathe. Such a circumstance, so heart opening, harsh and terrifying, evoked a new understanding of life for myself, my family and many friends.
Slowly and beautifully, my body has begun to regrow, giving me the breath of life once again and partial use of each of my limbs. I can actively contract and move, sometimes only slightly, every muscle in my body. The progress I have made is astounding. I have within my grasp an opportunity for full recovery.
One of my younger sisters, a circle of beautiful friends and I have temporarily relocated to Peru to work with Dr. Laura, who feels certain I will be able to soon walk again. Having steadily received treatments for a series of months, we are witnessing my body come alive. My excitement is beyond words.
The path ahead is a thrilling, challenging, beautiful, tiring and rewarding trek. It will not be easy to walk again; this I understand. The body must have strength to sit up, then rollover, crawl, to stand, and balance, take a step, stay up and take another step. I will fall down. The girls will help me up. There will be tears, anger, frustration, prayer, resilience, heart wrenching beauty and more tears. Then, one day, I will simply walk.

I thank you for taking the time to read my site. My inability to work leaves me dependent upon the generosity of others. I could never have made it this far alone. Every little day goes a long way. I deeply appreciate any and all support.
With gratitude, peace and love,
Teresa Schroeder
